FITC-PEG-Acid, MW 5,000 is a PEG linker consisting of an FITC fluorophore and a carboxylic acid. FITC is a green fluorophore with excitation and emission maxima at 491 nm and 516 nm respectively. FITC-PEG conjugates see frequent use in fluorescence microscopy, immunohistochemistry and other in vivo research applications. The carboxylic acid is easily coupled with amines and alcohols to form amides and esters respectively.
